Acceptable Use Policy

Effective 2026-04-27.

Summary

Tramplo is built for transparent, lawful workplace time tracking. This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) lists the things customers must not do with the service. Breaching this AUP is grounds for suspension or termination of an account.

Lawful basis

You confirm that, when you deploy Tramplo to anyone you have invited:

  • You have a lawful basis under applicable employment, privacy, and data-protection law.
  • You have given each person the Tramplo employee monitoring notice, or your own equivalent notice that covers the same data, before they begin tracked work.
  • Where required (for example, German, French, Austrian, or Dutch works councils), you have completed any required co-determination, consultation, or works-council agreement.
  • You will not target individuals based on protected characteristics (race, religion, union membership, pregnancy, etc.).

Prohibited uses

You must not, and must not allow anyone using your account to:

  • Install Tramplo on a person's device without their knowledge, or in a manner intended to make the monitoring undetectable.
  • Disable, modify, or interfere with the system-tray indicator, the consent screen, or the employee data-access page.
  • Use Tramplo to monitor minors, members of the public, customers, household members, domestic workers without an employment relationship, or anyone outside a clear workplace context.
  • Use Tramplo to capture content that is unlawful to record (for example, telehealth sessions, attorney-client communications, confessional communications, or content covered by another party's expectation of privacy that is stronger than the employer's legitimate interest).
  • Make automated, adverse employment decisions (termination, demotion, pay cuts)solely on the basis of Tramplo data, where the law requires human review.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or rate-limit-evade the API; resell or sublicense the service; or attempt to access another customer's data.
  • Use the service in connection with malware, phishing, fraud, harassment, or any illegal activity.
  • Upload to or process through Tramplo any data category for which you have not obtained the necessary legal authority (for example: health, financial-account, government-issued-ID, or biometric data of any subject).

Security expectations

  • Keep admin credentials confidential. Do not share admin logins.
  • Treat exported screenshots and CSVs as confidential employee data.
  • Notify Tramplo within 24 hours if you suspect an account compromise.

Reporting abuse

To report a suspected breach of this AUP, email info@tramplo.com with the relevant account or organization name and a description of the conduct.

Enforcement

Tramplo may suspend access immediately for serious breaches (covert monitoring, monitoring of minors, security violations) and will give 7 days' written notice for less severe ones. Repeat or wilful breach is grounds for permanent termination.

Changes

We will email customer admins at least 30 days before a material change to this AUP. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
